Hi Everyone,

I've recently created a virtual guidebook for Yosemite National Park for iPhone. I know these are not well received by everyone, but would love to get some feedback from the climbing community. I am a local here in Yosemite and put a lot of research into the information contained. You can download it at . . .

itunes.apple.com/us/app/yos…

For route updates and new app information, Like the following Facebook page . . .

Your constructive criticism and/or feedback is greatly appreciated. I look forward to any responses.

Thanks everyone!

I like the idea. I downloaded it. My constructive feedback is that you should add a lot more routes. Also, how do you search for a route by name? It could potentially be better than the mp app in terms of mapping capabilities for approaches and descents. Maybe it could be like the best of both worlds of supertopo and MP. As it is now, I don't think you should charge 6$ for this. Above all, there's not nearly enough routes. I was expecting much more.

Hey Michael, Feedback well received! Thank you for the download and insight. I plan to add more routes now that the beautiful cool temperatures have arrived. When they do, just hit the "Check for New Routes" button at the bottom on the home screen. The new routes will be uploaded at no charge. I would have loved to had more routes for the launch, but the photos for multipitch routes are difficult to retrieve with rope rigging, rappelling, etc. Sure enough though, I will continue to add more!

My pricing was based on what it cost me to create the app, and also relative to the few other virtual guidebooks I was able to find. If I continue to receive feedback that the price is too high, I will be sure to lower it. As it is a new market, it was difficult for me to set.

Again, your feedback was much appreciated! If you would like to follow along and get notifications for new routes and updates, follow the YCG Facebook page.

So I sprayed about this on a climbing article ..... and now I realize that it doesn't work on iOS 9. If anyone downloaded it and is on iOS9, I'm trying to get it fixed. If you want, you can get a refund by following these steps . . .

The Android version is working fine. . .

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, you can go here . . .
