We're replacing old bolts in Southern Arizona!

CASA needs YOUR HELP to win grant money to replace old hardware.

CASA A-Team

Donate to the CASA Anchor Team TODAY for bolt replacement and Rocks and Ropes will MATCH your donation!

www.theclimbershome.org/anchor-team

Rocks & Ropes and a private funder are matching the first $1500 of YOUR donations. Thanks to Rocks and Ropes and our generous donor!!

We’re also applying for the Access Fund/American Alpine Club Fixed Anchor Replacement grant and must show matching donations from the public. Your donation WILL be doubled and could be quadrupled!

Donations will be used to replace old bolts/anchors on Southern Arizona climbs. Goodbye, dubious protection. Hello, high quality stainless steel bolts, hangers and top-anchors.

CASA is a 501(c)(3) and donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed.

Which bolt would you rather fall on?

Pick one. :)

Thanks!!

We Need your Support!

There are hundreds of bolts, if not thousands, that are due for upgrading in our local climbing areas. The A-Team is eager to begin work on making our climbs safer.

Donate today!

Thanks for performing this service, CASA A-Team. I donated and encourage others to do so as well.

Tim-

The actual CASA never had anything to do with the silly and in ver poor taste Facebook campaign you mention.

This initiative is dedicated squarely at addressing a huge issue in the Southern Arizona climbing community - bad bolts, and aging fixed hardware.

Joke is poor word for it. I like to think of it as someone who has WAYYYYYYYY too much time on their hands.

Updates!

  • Session Yoga is matching the next $400 in donations. Thanks Session Yoga!
  • Nick Asbury, Tucson climber, is matching the NEXT $500. Thanks Nick!
  • You've already donated $1000, and Rocks & Ropes / The BLOC has matched that $1000! Awesome!! Thanks Rocks and Ropes!

We are so psyched for the Anchor Team! The more matching donations we have, the more money we can request through our grant application to Access Fund and the American Alpine Club.

Thank you all for your enthusiastic support!

Thanks David!

To be clear:

Our true Facebook page is here

And our webpage is here

On both of these pages you'll get an accurate picture of what CASA is and what we are about.

Hating on someone: that's a road I would never take CASA down, for sure. I have no tolerance for bashing individuals. We've got thousands of hours of volunteer time invested into doing good for the local climbing community.

David, I met you at the Homestead a couple years ago. Gave you some cash for the new gate. Thanks for doing that work! We'll be out there with the Access Fund in early December doing some stewardship work. Will you be there by then?

Tim and David, just FYI, "TJ Cummings" the "person" behind the fake "CASA" Facebook page and the new fake "C.A.S.A." Mountain Project profile doesn't even seem to be a real person. No one in the Tucson climbing community knows him or has met him to my knowledge.

I'm no fan of Scott Ayers but even I find that web site way over the top. Bad form to be sure.

Donated to the anchor fund today.

Eric, I was shocked with the Deleted OP. With out local groups like C.A.S.A. working with the Access Fund we would have lost a lot more access years ago. Thanks. I think about all of you guys that gave me ca$h, every time I open that gate. I thank all of you, for helping make that a very fun thing to do. Yes, I'm headed down to Superior early this year, how could I miss doing more stewardship work at the Homestead ;)
