is this a reasonable undertaking? will the river be too high? will it rain? is it normal to pee the bed at my age??

It will be cooler then the Valley. We are in a drought.. probably no wetter then your bed!

I just moved to payson. My gear is in Colorado at the moment, but I hope to have it down here sometime reasonably soon.

I am down for any kind of ill-conceived bad idea if it sounds like a good time. Don't know the area or crags around here yet, so I have no knowledge of said wall but Wnslow is close to me, I am assuming Winslow Wall is somewhere in general vicinity...?

And yes. It is normal. At least on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Hit me up if you want.

lol, will do man. i've been to the winslow wall once, it's amazing and i'm looking to get back.

i think you might be close to isolation canyon. can anyone confirm? i've never been there, looking to get there soon though too.

So Isolation is near Pine, AZ... roughly halfway between Payson and Winslow...

Jacks canyon is off 87 about 25 miles before Winslow when you are driving from Payson.

Winslow wall always has water... but except for a few occasions it is never so deep that it keeps you from climbing there... just have to wade through it to get to some of the climbing. September is usually good climbing time depending on how hot it is and time of day (shade dependant) and what you prefer.

I have also just posted a new area called Renegade which is south of Winslow wall in Clear Creek Canyon which is pretty much dry in the main canyon right now but is still being developed... still there are some great routes here... enough to get a greatday oof climbing in.

My name is Joe and I live off 99 just about 2 miles down from the Winslow wall turn off... I have kind of a strange work schedule but am available to climb quite a bit... message me if you are interested.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
