not gonna lie, I want to approach Rincon while suspended from a helicopter.

Bear tossed a fucking brick sized rock off the cliff. What an idiotic douche. I know the area was closed, but people are gonna watch that hack on TV and think it's ok to just throw rocks off cliffs and down mountains. People die when that happens, and Bear just casually tossed a rock for TV's sake.

Have to give post production credit. They did a good job editing to make sure the road, trails, other climbers were not clearly visible in an effort to make it seem more remote.

I just wanna learn what technique he uses to climb all that with like 20 feet of rope.

Sure would save me a lot of trouble if I didn't have to carry all that extra rope with me. Lol

Approach to rincon with a heli would be way more fun than hiking 20 minutes.

Hilarious that they claim to be in the "wild" less than a 20 minute hike and 10 minute drive to a city of 100,000+.

Anyone want to escape to the "wild" and go hike at chautauqua?

It's probably the same folks from Man Vs Wild. They've made a career out of that.

Ask Russ Mitrovich, he did the Zodiac on El Cap with 20 feet of rope...iirc he set the speed record on that ascent, but my memory is PDS *pretty damned spotty* from that time frame...not sure if that's even how his last name is spelled...

I always get airlifted in for my Eldo approaches, otherwise I might get lost in the dense forest. Not sure which ridge they are standing on that's "over 9,000'", though.

If everyone threw rocks like that there'd be no rocks left!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
