HI, I'm looking to buy double 70m ropes from Sterling. Are there any recommendations?

I don't know about brand, but are you sure you want double 70's?

Either 7.8 fusion photon or 8.4 evolution duetto, depending on what you plan on using them for.

i own double 8.4s in 70m from sterling. i have never actually wound up using the full length and always wonder why the F&*K did i spend money to carry the extra 10M. HAs come usefull on raps but thats about it.

I stand corrected the only time i've used the full length was doing Dinkus Dog at Looking Glass in one pitch. I should say in the alpine i've never used the full length except for raps

Edit: My sterling 8.4s are from '08 and still goign strong

I have the photons in 60m and they are awesome! Love those ropes. Super light too. Two 60's weigh the same as my 10.2 70m single

Either 7.8 photon, or look into the 8.0 mammut Phoenix. I have one of each, so far, I like the Phoenix better. I think the .2mm difference only 1 to 3 grams per meter heavier. Don't quote me on that

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
