Bear Creek Spire weekend conditions inquiry

Hi eastsiders,

I'm wondering if anybody has seen the conditions at Bear Creek Spire or nearby recently. For those that have done any of the routes there already, how does climbing say the 4th class/ST 5.5 northeast ridge look considering the weekend forecast? Aiming to get an alpine start from the base if conditions till then are ok.
Originally wanted to do Mt. Conness, but that definitely seems storm-unfriendly.

Thanks!

I climbed the Northeast Ridge last November and I can say I wouldn't really want to be up there when it was wet, but the snow was easy at the time. If you are able to get a permit to camp at the base and get an alpine start, the weather looks doable.

Not sure if you are looking at a Friday or Saturday ascent. Saturday's weather would put some pressure on you to adhere to the "off the top by noon" summer alpine climbing standard for sure.

I would really watch the weather closely leading up to the day of the ascent as well, it looks like right now it is getting rained on...

Maybe that helps.

Cheers,
Mac
