Can anyone report as to the condition of the road into Turkey Rocks? I presume near daily rain for weeks would not be kind to the road.

Roads are fine, though wet. We were there on sat. I would not be taking a 2x4 down that road however...not until it dries.

Anybody have a road update after this weekend? Odds a 2x4 truck will make it?

I didn't end up going to Turkey Rocks this weekend, so I can't report. :(

The road is good for pretty much any car to make it. I saw a sedan parked in the lot on Saturday, which was a first for me. Overall, the toughest part of the road comes early, with a washed out section in the first mile or so. Otherwise, it's pretty cruiser.

Drove down there via Co springs yesterday and back through Deckers.
Roads are fine.

Unfortunately we witnessed a motorcycle fatality past Deckers
on our return last evening.

Was there yesterday...roads were fine. Although, we went up the back way on 360 a couple of weeks ago, heading north from the Big Rock area and 360 was washed out. I was driving a Jeep Liberty and it couldn't make it. It was about a 6 mile hike into Turkey Rocks from there.

Any body have recent beta on the road after all the rain? I've been up there in my little 2wd sedan before, would it be crazy to try that now?

Has anyone been up there lately? And is it still possible to camp up there? Thinking of going this weekend. Thanks!

I want to camp and climb there this weekend.I don't have a partner but may still head up anyway to rope solo and get in what laps I can.would love to partner up with some good peeps. Last I knew the road is open and a little rough but good. The camping areas have been pushed down along with the original parking spot.its all good.anyone want to camp and climb with me?

wish i could go climbing with you mike, but I do have beta on the roads / camping. was there last weekend and drove my little 2 wheel drive passat out there, it was totally fine--a few little scrapes on the bottom. And, though I didn't camp, there were lots of folks camping all along the road.

Unless you have a snowcat, fs 360 to Turkey Rock is undriveable beyond the camping area.
Snow is at least 14 inches deep.

^^^ Right! Cause no vehicle could drive through that.

I heard some boys got stuck and pulled by the local 4wd club that happened to pass by. No idea what they were driving or the capabilities of the driver.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
