Has anyone been up in The Redfish Lake area yet this year? Do you think Elephants Perch would be climbable? What about the Finger Of Fate? We had a light snow year in Washington so im guessing you might of had similar over there? thanks for any info.

You may encounter a little snow patch here and there on certain approaches. Climbing is definitely good to go though. Enjoy!

some snow on final bit to the lakes. you can get around it if just going up to the wall. there is a log crossing in right now. makes things nice.

Saw a TR from some guys who climbed it a few days ago. Didn't appear to be much snow left. I'm hoping to do the Fine Line on Wednesday, will report back.

Hey Trevor, same for Warbonnet? Some snow, or a snowy climb? My belay partner is headed there Thursday. Hope he gets that million dollar summit shot!

The Perch TR was a friend of a friend on Facebook, I can't seem to find it anymore unfortunately. As for Warbonnet, I imagine there's still a solid amount of snow on the pass into the Goat Creek drainage. I'd highly recommend an ice axe! I've got several that I'd be happy to loan out if he needs one.

Thanks, I expect he's (or whomever he's going with) got it covered. Redfish cam looked like it wasn't gone yet. I think they're finalizing plans now. He took a shot at Lost River Peak, earlier, too. Now if one of you can just get him on skis... :-)

Hope you're having a blast!

The Perch is good to go! There are a few remaining patches of snow left on the approach and at the top of the descent gully, but nothing that can't be bypassed with a bit of easy scrambling. Get after it!

How are the mosquitoes up there right now?

Mosquitoes were virtually non-existent on Wednesday

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
