LOST gear on Arm and Hammer, Bells Canyon

While up in Bells yesterday a #1 Camalot with a sling was lost while climbing Arm and Hammer. It is most likely on pitch 5 of Arm and Hammer (the pitch right after the Zion Curtain pitch).

We were climbing Arm and Hammer in a group of three and rappelling down Butcher Knife to replace all the old bolts. We had a lot of gear (drills, bolts, chain, crow bars, etc) so we didn't notice the missing cam until the ground.

I won't be up there but would like to say thanks for replacing the old bolts. Butcher Knife is a great route-I climbed it years ago and there were scary 1/4'' time bombs then-can't imagine what shape they were in by now.

Yeah they didn't look too good. Thanks to the ASCA, Brian Smoot, and Les Ellison there are now 1/2" stainless steel bolts.
