Replacing velcro?
|
I have an awesome but ancient pair of shoes that I adore, with the exception being the Velcro is totally shot. I've put a few new soles on this puppy but does anyone redo Velcro? Rock and resole did not. |

Maybe they don't now? A few months ago I got them resoled there with a note to do anything the could for the Velcro and charge me whatever, but they came back un revelcroed. |

Maybe they don't anymore? It was only $5-10 extra back then to redo the velcro. Also, they didn't sew it on, they glued it. |

Ah, well then if even they just glued it I guess I'll give it a shot- I mean, it's already useless so it's not like I'll make it worse! :) |

I would imagine this guy would put new Velcro on for you, but you'd have to ship your shoes to him. He also does excellent resoles: |

I had Velcro go bad on a pair of shoes that I really liked. I just cut the Velcro off, drilled lace holes in the shoe material, and made them into lace ups. |

Any shoe repair shop should be able to replace velcro. |
