hey all. I just transplanted from the PNW to Augusta, GA and it is very flat here. I'm missing my climbing community back home and looking for the best options for climbers around here. I know I'll have to drive, so it'd be nice to meet people for a couple days of climbing. I climb sport mostly, interested in trad and bouldering too.

A long ways away from any sport climbing. Start golfing.
Probably Curhee in N Ga is closest bolts, otherwise trek to Chattanooga. Trad = NC

Mt yonah is your closest. Kinda screwed the pooch on that one... Your climbing is gonna be hella limited. Western NC is a good weekend drive away. Tallulah gorge is pretty cool, abt 3 hours away. I'm from Augusta originally, lemme know if you got any other questions, I should be able to answer them. Cheers

thank you guys! golfing may come, but I'll be kayaking a bunch too. Thanks, DavisMeschke, I moved here for work, not for sports, and don't want to go batty while I'm here. I'll hit you up if I have more questions!

You can join us Wednesday evenings 6-8 at the Aiken Climbing Wall (sign up at Odell Weeks). I know Aiken isn't that close butAugusta has very little to offer

Hello Christina! My wife and I just moved here (Cumming, just outside Atlanta) from San Diego! We can relate to your transplant issues. We have been exploring the North Ga area a bit, and we've been to several of the "hot spots" - sadly, they are not much. I've got plans in the works to hit Lost Wall in the next couple of weeks. If you'd like to join us one weekend, we'd love the added adventure company.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
