Hey, I'm hoping somebody picked up my gear in good faith.

I stashed a bunch of gear under a rock on BLM land in Indian Creek. I don't drive and headed into Moab to get some supplies. Unfortunately, when I returned to Indian Creek it was all gone. The list includes a whole lot of climbing gear, camping gear and about two months worth of food. Also I had an old violin that was very special to me. I am offering a reward for my stuff, as it was most of everything I own. No questions asked.

A partial list of things:
Most of the climbing gear is marked with purple tape or purple nail polish.

-1 #4 c4
-3 old-style Camalots #4 (reslung with purple Fisher slings)
-6 #1 Camalots
-3 #2 Camalots
-4 #3 Camalots
-1 #5 c4
-1 #6 c4
-1 Blue Big Bro
-#7, #8, & #9 Powercams
-2 sets of tricams
-Metolius UL Curve nuts
-DMM Walnuts
-Metolius Crash Pad
-LS Approach Shoes
-Asolo Black Hiking Boots
-Petzl Ascenders
-Petzl Basic Ascender
-A whole bunch of stoppers, slings and biners
-2 Mammut Half Ropes, Genesis Blue & Red
-Protraxion
-LS Pink Solutions
-Blue REI Flash Bag
-Petzl Bug Bag
-Mammut lightweight climbing bag

Camping:
-MSR Stoves
-MSR Dromedaries
-MSR Water Filter
-Platypus bags
-Cooking supplies

-Months of Food

-Violin

I appreciate any help. I did contact BLM and NPS and the gear shops in town. They don't have anything. I want to offer a large reward for the return of the gear. It's heartbreaking.

Thank you all!

That really sucks man. A lot of people from all over go to Moab on spring break, you might wanna consider calling some consignment shops in college towns like boulder, SLC, Bozeman, ect.. Best of luck

Hey man, just wanted to offer my best wishes in hopes that your gear shows up.

You could also try to set up automated craigslist emails in case your stuff ended up for sale there using: ifttt.com.

Someone tough wouldn't steal climbing gear from under a rock.

depends on how heavy the rock is.

Perhaps you should have buried it Walter White style in blue barrels?

Unfortunately you can't leave anything anywhere anymore.
Not in your car, not at the bottom of the climb, not under a rock.

Yeah, it sucks. Hope you get your gear back.
Was it at all visible from road or trail? And you're certain it was BLM land?
Just wondering if someone from the ranch removed the cache. It's not always super clear exactly where the ranch/BLM line is. Unfortunately the lack of a note suggests against clean-up or a good samaritan.
