Upper Gorge, Smith Rock acccess

Wondering if anyone has been out to Upper Gorge lately and has an update on what the trail is like - is it clear of brush - stinging nettles, poison oak and the like?

I was bouldering the Red Wall boulders last weekend and met a guy who had walked in from the Upper Gorge.
He didn't say anything about any difficulties with the hike (and we did talk about the bouldering in that area)...though I didn't ask him directly about the conditions there.
