Rappelling Newbie in search of good equipment.

So I'm going to be starting a new job soon that will require rappelling off of tall grain bins. I was wanting to know where I can find the best and safest equipment available for this and what all I would need? There will be a lot of sharp metal edges so I was thinking of some kind of cut proof or resistant rope or wire to use? Also, what would be the best way to tie off in this environment? Is there anything like an extra large carabiner that would be useful in hooking onto large metal objects for a "tie-off point"?

Again, I am very new to all this so I apologize if the words I'm using are not correct. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You are going to need for your new employer to provide adequate training in vertical work before any advice here will be applicable.

The sheer number of variables in rigging and the consequences of fucking up are far too great to rely on internet advice.

Seriously.

Also, OSHA requirements apply so equipment used by most recreational climbers is not appropriate.

Furthermore, your company and/or local & state govt's may have additional regulations that govern equipment specifications.

However, once you know the specs, Libertymountain.com has an excellent selection of professional gear. I've only interacted with them from the recreational side, but they've been a great company to deal with.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
