I'll be skiing around Thompson pass on the 22,23,26,27 of February, if anyone is around. I've got no hit list or anything, just looking to get out and walk around (likely in the rain).

conditions are exceptionally bad right now for the most part. I was just over there for a week and it was almost raining at the summit of Thompson Pass. Bring ice tools if you have them...

It is a pretty abysmal year so far. Good luck though, hope you find some sweet spots.

Yeah, I heard it's been sort of grim. Gotta be something ok up there, somewhere.

i think if you can get high it will be OK. roadside runs were looking pretty bad and there is a lot of alder showing through, but I'm sure you'll find something good. Nick Weicht here on Mountain Project (look for Valdez Ice Festival thread) can probably put you in touch with local skiers.

I can get out all day on Saturday and a half day on Sunday till noon or so for skiing and climbing. We just got a few feet of snow and it looks like another warm storm is on the way. Check out this web site- thompsonpass.com
