Place to practice building anchors in N OC area?

so I have some free time tomorrow and wanted to get some extra practice building anchors and placing gear before I head out to jtree at end of month. (As mentioned before have built some anchors and watched many) but I want to just get some more practice in before I head out. Don't have any climbing partners in the area anymore to practice with (they all moved away) so I was thinking of maybe heading up to crystal lake area just setting up a bunch of anchors on the ground. (Never been there other than in my motorcycle just riding the road).
Would that be a good area? Any better areas in north OC area?(or closer).
Any help would be appreciated on such short notice.

There is nothing in the north OC. I think by far your best bet is Rubidoux. I grew up in Costa Mesa and that's where I went.

Rubidoux is your spot.
