Seattle/Tacoma after work climbing

Hey Pacific Northwest!

I am looking at attending grad school in either Tacoma or Seattle. I know a little about the bigger destinations (Olympic National Park, Rainier, Baker, etc.) but I was wondering how Tacoma and Seattle are for after work climbing options - the stuff w/in a 20 to 30 min drive from downtown.

Realistically, I won't be getting out to do the super-rad stuff every single day, and I am looking to find local spots to maintain my sanity during the week.

I am also a trail runner and mountain biker, so any trail beta would be much appreciated.

Lived in DuPont for 5 years. Nothing is close to Tacoma. Living near Bellevue on the east side will get you near North Bend or Index which many would hit after work. Mainly in summer when you have long days.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
