Bumping this thread back up. Stopped by today to check out the shop. Lots of gear, and had a good time talking to Kevin. I'm headed back to Cedar City and kicking myself for not grabbing the BD Megawatts for $30. They're probably still there.

Great experience with these guys! Stopped in to buy my first pair of skis and Chris talked me through what I need for a good AT setup. Super helpful and gave me a great deal on skis and boots. It's nice to have a local shop like this.

Sorry Steve, I snagged those BDs like thirty minutes after you posted.

Haha, that's hilarious. Those were a screamin deal. Kevin looked at me like I was crazy for not buying them.

Saw this thread on MP before heading out to SLC for skiing last week. Basically ripped the entire sleeve off my my ski jacket on a tree at Alta the first day. Stopped into the Gear Room on my way down the mountain and picked up a new (used) one. Great gear and good prices. Picked up a new fleece and pair of ski pants while I was there too. The guys at the shop were very friendly and helpful and the store had a good selection. I looked at the climbing gear but didnt really need anything. Will definately check them out each time I visit SLC.

This place is great. I go here once a week to try to pick up more cheap climbing gear. I got a bomber DMM cam for 25$ and old stryle BD U stem .75 for 15$. I also just got some pitons to start building a nailing rack. Bottom line, This place is awesome with extremely friendly and helpful employees!

Hey folks,

Tomorrow (Sunday April 12th)is our spring consignment party.

Bring in used backpacks, crashpads, apparel, cams, draws, approach or climbing shoes or anything else for the warmer season to "The Gear Room" from noon to 6pm, and receive a free burger (hand pressed, organic beef and cooked to perfection) and home brew/soda/water.

Thanks to the entire climbing community for your continued support. The Winter months were a great way to get the shop up and running and we are super excited to be moving into climbing season.

Just wanted to bump the thread, The Gear Room is pretty dope. It's great to have a local place for resoles. They just restitched my mythos in 5 days. They also have lots of skis/boots and touring gear right now.
