Unemployed Sean: is "beefing up" your Facebook for potential employers cheating?

I became curious about this whole subject recently when there was actually a "social network coach" beefing up some chick's Facebook profile to make her more desirable as a potential employee. Do you ever say to your boss: just check my FB, dude?
In particular guiding and outdoor services. The chick was a graphic designer. ...I think..
Jake, no I did not. 18 years and going strong, man. Must be all those skills and customer service along with the ability to save lives.
I'm thinking of hiring an alpine guide that's why I'm asking.

I have nothing to hide from my boss. I sent her some pictures of places she sent me on contracts, per her request. Not that I would be FB friends with her or the company.
On second thought, I feel like I am her boss since if I don't work she doesn't get paid. It's complicated with contract work. I don't think she would understand my hobbies, that's why I sent her the vanilla pictures of me cycling or hiking selfie off a cliff. Not that there is anything wrong with climbing ice and rock, but I just doubt she is into that kind of thing, hence may think I'm "crazy daredevil".
Ironically coworkers think that SCUBA is much safer than rock/ice climbing. They must be thinking of Caribbean snorkeling hehehe.

Yeah, whatever...
You can actually fire your own recruiter if you don't like her or him. That's kinda cool. If I had a recruiter who climbs/or dives they would be able to taylor my contracts better. So I am bias about that. And i would be able to send them more radical pictures of myself ;) Then again, you always want to keep that professional distance. So I don't know how I feel about that.

I am seriously looking for alpine guides for this summer starting may since neither of us know anything about crevasses and glacier travel. Back on subject. ..

Elena, it's like you're trying to hide behind all these usernames, but you're easily recognizable.

Why are you so afraid to stick with one username?

How about just completely delist your FB profile, remove it from search engines, strip everything down to "friends only" and prevent people from looking you up. Oh, and choose a fake name. Then employers cannot look you up and it's not a concern. I dont think anyone has ever not gotten a job because they couldent be found on FB. I know plenty of people that did not get a job because of what was on their FB profile though.

This is too incoherent to be anyone other than Tollanor.
You just can't make this shit up. She can, but we can't.
You are more likely to "fix stupid" than fix crazy.

And with all due respect, Mr Hunter S Thompson:
'You can turn your back on a drug, but never turn your back on crazy.'

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
