Just moved to Santiago, Chile. Would like to hook up with a regular gym climbing buddy for the week. I'm also interested in outdoor climbing too. I have a few years experience, but I'm a little out of shape at the moment (hence the need for a gym buddy). Back in Arizona I was leading 5.10 sport, 5.8 trad.

Did you have any luck finding partners? Are you still living there? I'm going to be moving somewhere in Chile most likely within the next 6 months. I'm starting to do research on the climbing in the area now. Did you ever check out the gym? I'm not quite sure where I'll be living yet but any information you have on the subject will be greatly appreciated.

I actually have a ton of questions about living in Chile... not related to climbing. If you don't mind, I may contact you with additional questions. Haha!
Thanks!!

Hey! I actually moved to Santiago a few weeks ago from Baltimore, MD. I'm trying to find out more about the climbing community down here- I've been to the bouldering gym a couple of times because I live relatively close, but haven't made it outside or over to the sport climbing gym. I'd be happy to answer questions about the city and what I know about climbing down here, which isn't much yet. Not sure where to find partners! Good luck with your search. Hi! I just arrived in Santiago and will in the area the next few months for a research stay. I'm a grad student in Boulder, CO. I'd love to meet people to climb with - esp outdoors, but also happy to go to the gym. Any info/beta would be greatly appreciated! Cheers, Alia

Heading to Santiago this week for fun. Looking to check out Gimnasio El Muro but not sure of their testing requirements. Does anyone know if they require a grigri, atc, have lead ropes to borrow etc? Any details would be appreciated. Not rolling down there with all my gear since I am headed there with some gumbys.

Thanks,
Pat
