He's on P28, took me a bit of time to figure out from the topo.
Looks burly!

that pitch looks heinous. the concept of it bing 'only' a 12.b offwidth is insane. these dudes are on a different planet.

Looks like he's reloaded and going for it...cmon KJ!

I suspect when I have to leave work in two hours the action is really going to start up...

Brian, was thinking the same thing re: how they both climbed it different ways. Like most good climbing teams/partners, each has his/her own "speciality" (thin cracks, off-widths, friction, etc.), the sum of which gets the team up the route. Don't know these guys well enough to know who is best at what when the going gets thick or one another's 'speciality' is best used. (Maybe there is no difference; they sort of own their own space). Does anyone know?

there is a reason rock climbing is not a spectator sport...still cool to see though! : )

I enjoyed the fist bump when he finished.

Did they just finish pitch 28?

They just finished 29 if KJ got that clean...

Yes, he styled p29 a second ago. He looked pretty relieved by his body language.

Camera doods are repositioning and TC was reracking some stuff.

It gave me so much stoke that I want to get out to the valley and climb right now. Can't wait for the moment at the top!

Is this totally new terrain for them? TC is moving like I do when I'm on-sighting 5.8 - downclimbing, resting a lot, re-chalking, ticking holds...

Edit: or maybe he's waiting for the cameras to re-position. Again, just like I do...

Either way, watching it makes my hands start sweating as though I'm the one having to down climb to chill out before committing to a move.

Makes you wonder how "12b" it really is huh?

i think he's actually having trouble figuring out this sequence... pretty sure they have never climbed this stuff before as a pitch, maybe they sussed out the moves on toprope though.

+1 on that. 12b onsight for someone who just sent a pile of 14d pitches doesn't sound too terrible but he's not making it look particularly straightforward...

That looked scary as hell!! This is so cool to be able to watch it like we're all hanging out at the bottom of the crag.

I think they're on pitch 30 now, which would make this a 13a... but I could be wrong

So amazing to hear he sent it. Just awesome. Trying to watch in class..
