Just watched Kevin take his morning dump... that was nice... but I'm a little more stoked to watch the climbing ;-)

99.9% of us on this site would have puked trying to get through the burlieness to that rest position...

this pitch looks pretty physical and a bit of a grovel, and not easy. 5.12?

I'd agree, I just find it funny that I sit here working at my desk, intently checking the window with the feed, just to watch someone resting...

Is it just me or does it seem like they really know how to run it out?

O Dub traversing, yeah... gonna suck for kevin to follow

Right... way to leave Kevin with a massive pendulum. Kevin just fell on 12b and looks wiped out... hope he can muster 13a today.

Hideous, overhanging off-width, upside down, backwards and ever-so upward and forward. The long thought-out "turnaround" at the top of the off width was brilliantly executed. Many people, I think, would have stuck their left had under the crack (at the top of and away from the hanging off-width) where he did and tried to rotate themselves counter clock wise in order to face the rock. Not the best way to do that (e.g., where do the feet go, given that his legs are trashed? His left wrist would not like it a lot either). Instead, as he masterfully showed, once he knew the hold was there, he quickly COUNTER rotated back (in the vertical axis = clockwise) into and under the roof, body facing the rock. Seemed that the move gave him control over both hands and feet, freeing him up to traverse out of sucky area and turn the corner. Brilliant.

That's how I saw it.....how about you?

Hum... so I thought each of them was trying to get each pitch clean whether on lead or seconding... Just watched Kevin fall twice and keep going without lowering. Does this mean he isn't going for that goal anymore or just finishing pitch and then going to pendulum back the beginning of the pitch?

that's what I've been sitting here trying to figure out

I assume since he is sussing it out to red point. And placing some gear in the traverse to take some of the sting out.

He sure does, can't imagine how he feels. Saw him sit twice on this pitch. So are they going to give him another shot to get it clean?

I think it's 12b and he just doesn't care... but we'll see! What a sweet looking feature though.. Cool to see how different they both climbed it.
