MOVEMENT: leaving Ohio

I would like to find my fellow climbing mongrels to get out of this region.

I'm looking for mountains, towers, pillars... pinnacles of existence, if you will. The glaciers paved their chaotic bliss through my home state, Ohio.

I'd like to leave this flat land in search of bigger better things.

I am fully committed to an on the spot decision to pack and go, but I cant do this alone, I'll go crazy trying to fight the tide of society a la mode.

If you are down to get groovy and get moving, Please comment.

If you are interested in traveling down south/ west coast, Please comment.

If you are going to advise me not to do what I want, please DON'T comment.

Peace Love and Climb on

Make the move solo.

You'll be happier for your accomplishments.

Leave the boom box on the plains.

I do second trading out the boom box for some earphones. That said there are dozens or excellent climbing towns/cities out west

DUDE!

you literally just missed me. I had been planning to leave for a bit, but never committed. sold all my extra goodies, downgraded and paid off my car. Paid off school loans, and any other money I owed. I was ready to leave but could not find a climbing partner. So I ended up returning to school... yesterday.

I was mostly demotivated because I'm not that strong of a climber. only having climbed in the chossy sandstone of ohio, with a handful of trips to the red/new, I figured it would be too difficult to find someone and rely on others at the crag because I climb 5.9's.

My offering: west, not south.

I'm with you man. Originally from Las Vegas, been in Cincinnati for 7 years, gonna be moving to LA in a couple months (if everything works out). Just make the move - you'll find your community and you won't regret it.

Best of luck & let me know if you're in SoCal sometime.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
