Trout Creek Nesting Closure

Any info on whether the closure is still in effect? I'm hoping to climbing there for Easter.

It's very closed as of January 15th. Sorry, it sucks.

The earliest it would be open is mid May, depending on where the eagles are nesting and how successful they are. Otherwise it'll be closed through the summer.

It opened last year in early May.

Any chance Trout Creek will be open for climbing in late April 2015? It appears the answer is "no," based on the past few years' experience, but I just wanted to confirm. I'll be making a trip out to Smith around then and would love to check out Trout Creek if it's open. Thanks.

Sadly its a definitive no. Check out Bill's Columns and Mecca (just south and east of Warm Springs on 26) for the closest comparable experience.
