With this weeks temp drops and the little bit of precipitation we've had I've been wondering if anything else has started to come in here in the Wasatch. I haven't had time to head up myself. Has anyone been up in the last few days and seen anything looking promising?

I toured up to Lake Blanche yesterday to check out Frozen in Time on the shoulder of Sundial Peak. It's in. We got a late start and decided to turn around rather than risk a mini-epic climbing the route and skiing out of Mill B in the dark. Skis are useful above the lake. Otherwise, plan on post-holing. Looks fun, wished we had more time. Coming down from Alta today, the GWI isn't in at all.

Provo is not in an getting worse. What little is there is falling off. Miller's Thriller, the Fang etc all look horrible. Only enough ice to kill you.

So... how's Santaquin? I asked a week or so ago, I guess it sucks too?

You could check and let us know. New storm could bring some ice. More coming on Christmas Day.

Priceicle still in despite warm temps. Dry in middle dripping on edges. Better low temps rest of the week and into next will hopefully build some ice.

Anyone wanna hit up Frozen in Time on Sundial Peak this weekend? I don't have screws but I do have a 60m rope we can use and my own tools. This is assuming snow conditions are good enough for a safe approach.

Drove up to see what was what today. Great white icicle The scruffy band Both not climbable. Lots of water flow but too warm. Ice is very thin 1/2-1" in most places.

some decent ice in Joe's Valley. CCC falls in, except upper pillar, touching but not climbable. Dead bolt curtain a pillar but climbable, cauliflower and chandelier, hard to protect but good climbing. Crux is crossing the creek that is not frozen.
Donorcicle looking decent, good to go by next week if not already, too late in day for us to try. Nothing else in this was on Christmas Eve.

Just got back from Joe's. 1st pitch of CCC is in. 2nd was too thin for me to lead. Donorcicle, same thing. Went up the Walkabout and the curtain sounded hollow. Lots of other little flows in the side drainages. Some exploring was met with pleasant results. Melty Way might shape up soon. Overall, the ice was aerated and needs some time. I'm sure braver leaders would have had at it so don't be discouraged by this report. I'd like to hear what people get on.

Looked good as of yesterday, much better than 2nd of CCC, which was still climbable.
