So...... me and two friends will be down in the moab area march 4-7 .. we are all great sport climbers but thirst for an intro to trad ... and maybe some ancient art!? Looking for somone who will show us the basics (beer is on us!) Or an actual guide to teach us! (Some kind of compensation of course)We can assemble a small trad rack but nothing too fancy if necessary. ... if you have a question or if someone knows a guy let us know!

The trad pitch on ancient art is like 5.4 or 5.5 with maybe 2 5.7 moves. All you need is a single rack. The hard bolt ladders can easily be aided. The crux of AA is the exposure going across the sidewalk. The moves on the spire are 5.7ish.

You could climb on Wall Street your first day there and just ask locals if you can get your rope tagged up when they clean and most will do it. Then you can practice placements on TR. It is pretty easy to place gear in Moab.

Also worth mentioning that other than actually hiring a guide it is illegal to hire a pirate guide.

Huh, just saw this....And I'm not a pirate guide, I have access and permits to every area in the southern Utardia region..

Rob...Thanks for the suggestion, appreciate it
