Would be great if we could see the other grading systems on the app, yds confuses the bejesus out of me. You could add the South African grading system too hint hint nudge nudge

I could add the South African system to the site pretty easily. Is there a conversion chart that you think is particularly accurate?

Our conversions came mostly from this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grade_(climbing)#Comparison_tables
(with many modifications)

Getting on the app will be MUCH harder and not in the near future.

That´s Great news, i find the folks i run into from the states agree more with this one than the wiki one. That said they are not that different.

The ZA South Africa ratings have been added. You can see the comparison chart I ended up with here:
mountainproject.com/scripts… (let me know of errors).

And you can turn on this rating system by clicking the "YDS" link near the rating on any route page.

Thank you Nick, looks about as close as any grade conversion chart can be. Now to go and make sure all my routes are graded correctly.

What would make this app completely great (it's already pretty darn great!) is:

Pictorial map of each wall face showing the climbing route for each climb. (include anchors, etc).

All the printed guide books have them, and it's the most useful thing.

Agreed. We have some and we've made it easy add more with "Topo Photos". All our data is contributed by climbers like you, so next time you're out, take some photos and add them where needed!

Can we add a link to personal message in the forum?

How about the route finder option? Help find routes in a certain area..

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
