It's free climbing season on El Cap right now. YES! Sean Villanueva and I went up about 300 feet, and scared ourselves silly on some easy aid pitches. Tommy and Kevin are preparing the Dawn Wall for their ground up push this fall and Jorg Verhoeven from Dutchlandia is high on the Nose on his free attempt. Camp 4 is in full swing with stoked climbers from all around the World cooking rice and beans, and mulling over the new guidebook with cold beers in hand. RAD. Thank you to everyone who emailed me feedback, posted here, or reviewed our book online - we listened to all your suggestions / criticisms and spent eight months fixing up our book. A huge thanks to Marek Jakubowski for continuing to grace Yosemite climbers with his amazing design / photo / map skills!
