I've been taking my 7-year old out more and he's doing well; I've set up a TR on the north part of the Slab, the lower section of Seal Rock, and most recently a few routes on Nip and Tuck in the Canyon.

What all these locales share is the ability for me to walk/scramble to set up a TR as it's just the two of us and he's not ready yet to belay.

Question: are there other spots -- the length of the hike in isn't an issue -- where I can set up a TR. I don't want to monopolize a popular route and we tend to get alpine starts; we're just looking to expand our opportunities in Boulder Canyon.

Thank you in advance.

The Sport Park can be accessed from the top for pretty much every route. There are some where the draws are a few feet down from the top, but there is almost always tree within 60m you can rap from. Or if you have gear, you can use that to rap to the anchors.

If you have gear then there are a number of places on the Elephant Buttresses that are easy, but off route. The Dome has a small wall on the west side. A 20ft steep section that is below some of the harder routes. There's a mini-dihedral there.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
