I was driving on my way to Mammoth hot springs when I saw some boulders and towers. Decided to pull off the road and check them out, turns out there is a lot of potential in the area. Nothing is established yet, so I found some simple climbs to project in a little 10 minute period, some V0s and V1s just here and there. Fairly simple area overall, decided to refer to it as Mammoth Boulders. Put up "Royale With Cheese" V1 and "Vega Kills Bruce Willis" V0 on one boulder. Will post pics if you guys want

Were you south of Mammoth? White limestone boulders?

Those are the Hoodoos. Several established climbs... some bolts on top of the big boulder with the "X" on it. Locals have been bouldering in the Hoodoos for ages.

Most of the rock in Yellowstone is pretty rotten, although there are some pockets of fairly good stone.

All of the yellowstone rock is pretty terrible.

Also a pile of glacier erratics and cliffs that have been explored and "discovered" many times in the past out near Slough Creek.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
