North Tahoe Winter Camping Suggestions

Does anyone have any suggestions for winter tent camping in the North Shore/Truckee area? Somewhere that you could park overnight when there is snow and ski a short distance in. Are there spots near the Tahoe Rim Trail with accessible winter parking nearby?

Above Kings Beach might work, not quite sure about the parking situation though. Otherwise, plenty of places around Truckee, north of town along Highway 89 in the Alder Creek Rd vicinity, and probably off highway 267/Martis Peak area would work as well.
