New Southern Adirondack Cliff

Arietta climbing has opened a new cliff in the Southern Adirondacks. It has approximately 30 climbs on it, mostly in the 5.8 to 5.11 range. All are trad with bolts as needed, except for one pure sport climb that goes up a slot. There are clip in anchors at the top of each route. The cliff is a 35 minute walk in. You can download the guide at thomannengineering.com/arie…. The guide is a bit funky and some of the climb names are irreverent, so please bring your sense of humor. With the nice fall weather I hope you will get a chance to go out and enjoy the cliff - it has some great routes on it!

Looks like a nice addition to SoADK climbing. Thanks to you and the team for all the work to develop the cliff. Hopefully it will get enough traffic to keep it clean.

The guidebook looks awesome. Thanks for all of the work that you guys put into the cliff. The lines are great and definitely worth a visit this fall for everyone who hasn't been there. Someone spelled "Jennelle" wrong even though they asked me for the spelling :-).

Wow, what an excellent cliff! Bravo Team Statebrook.

Is there a special reason it's called Statebrook (one word), when it's on State Brook (two words) Mountain? Just curious.

Gary- nice work and thanks for sharing! I cannot wait to make the hike in there to check out those massive boulders that you had some pictures of...hopefully I can get them included in the ongoing guidebook piece for Adirondack Bouldering!!!
