Anyone else out there going? Been in the past? Any beta to optimize the good times? I've only heard good things about it so far.

I'll be arriving to the Castle/City area Wednesday night, before festivities begin. Looking for a partner to climb with for the duration of the event and possibly beyond to Monday the 29th.

Hope to see some of you out there for some good ol' Idaho rowdiness!

I've been both years. I've loved it.
No real tips on how to get the biggest bang for your buck.
There is a lot of rock out there.
If your solo, take a crash pad.
It seems like 90% of the climbers head for the City. Fine with me, the Castle's have a lot of great rock too.
I'll be driving a little white Geo Metro. The bumper sticker says "Yes I'm slow, but I'm ahead of you."

Hi. I don't know anything about a "Idaho Mountain Fest", but I'm on a climbing trip and likely headed to City of Rocks due to crappy weather in Washington.

Would this be a good time to find partners for City of Rocks/Castle Crags? I've only soloed some stuff in Castle, but lead some neat trad in City. Would like to get on Crack of Doom.

My cell is 541-three59-nine212

Right on. It doesn't sound like it'll be too hard to meet people and find partners out there.

Ball--If you do end up in the City area go ahead and post a note in the Bath Rock parking lot. Or if you can find some cell reception out there try me at 208-eight90-six69four
