Chugach Climbing: Falls Creek 3920

Does anyone know why there aren't any established routes on point 3920 up in Falls Creek? The west face is one of the more continuous cliffs around, and the rock quality seems pretty decent up there.

There is no shortage of shitty Chugach Rock to climb. Post some pics and bolt it up! I'm sure it's better than most of the roadcuts.

There is a route that goes up the center(ish) of the face. It is a 4-5 pitch trad line put up a couple of summers ago. That is all the info I have. Not half bad looking rock up there either.

That's pretty much what I was eyeballing, the center of the face. Did they go up the quasi-arrete up the middle, or one of the cracks to the left or right of it?

Willy, not having my AK rock guide around, is it in Kelsey's book? Just interested in what you know about it.

It's not in the book. All I know is that it's 4+ pitches and goes at 5.8 ish. FA Laron Thomas and someone else, can't remember who. Word is that it is fun with lots of potential around. Goes up one of the crack systems. If anyone wants to get out and explore I am always down. The arête looks like it would make for a fun bolts/gear route.

I can't confidently say that I'm a trad climber (yet), but I'll gladly clean for somebody that wants to go explore.

Lots to do in that drainage. Also check out the south face of Indianhouse mountain. There is a 10 pitch climb up to the top of the steeps that goes at 5.10. Rock quality in the area is very hit or miss.
