Heading out to The Winds with my girlfriend and thinking about taking a full advantage of that great place and bringing our dog with us since we can. Hoping to have some longer climbing days here and there and thought it wouldn't hurt to ask if anyone has been dealing with the same issue and how it worked or, even better, if you have the same situation, thinkiong about heading out there and would want to swap the dogsitting days maybe...:)
Please do not bring your dog to the Cirque. It has become extremely popular and impacts are high. Do you intend to follow your dog around and properly dispose of it's feces?
I'll agree with Tommy. I'm a dog guy and prior to our trip to the Cirque last month I would have scoffed at the idea that dogs could be a problem in a remote setting like the Cirque. However, on our second to last day, a group leaving the Cirque past by our camp with their unrestrained dog who came over and met us, enjoyed getting his ears scratched while his people continued up the trail. The dog then wandered around our camp and promptly took a tremendous dump right in front of our tent. Obviously we hadn't scratched his ears enough... Cleaning up after someone else's dog in our camp in the wilderness changed my mind.
