The AF Conservation Team will be working alongside the Washington Climbers Coalition, the Mountaineers and the US Forest Service to improve the climbers approach trail at Squire Creek. This approach trail has seen regular traffic for almost 30 years with no maintenance or improvements and has become a potential safety hazard. The USFS is looking to improve this resource in order to drive more traffic to the Darrington area and improve its local economy.
Volunteers should arrive at the trailhead at 9am and be prepared for typical WA weather. Tools and parking passes will be provided, but volunteers should bring gloves, lunch, water, layers, sunscreen and wear closed toe shoes. Keep your eyes on the WCC Facebook page for additional information!
