Anyone climb this area? Looking for a little route beta, specifically how and where to rappel.
Rock Climbing New Jersey and Eastern PA Guidebooks both seem to imply a decent amount of single-pitch climbing before the rock quality deteriorates. I came across the post on rc.com that made me a little nervous about ending up on bad rock with limited descent options.
20-30 feet of 4th-5th class scrambling through thick vegetation may, or may not, lead to the base of the routes. Definitely not an area to visit in the summer. But there is clean rock up there and I spotted a pretty sweet looking inside corner climb. Saving for a later date. Always up for a day at The Gap if anyone's interested in uncovering hidden routes.
Thanks for the reply. I'm expecting my 2nd child's birth in the next few days and will temporarily be unavailable for a few months. Last weekend at The Gap was probably my last hoorah. Will definitely be looking to get back out on the rock around October. Message me offline to discuss further.
