Neon Knee Bar - Doesn't Fit?
|
I just purchased a Five Ten Neon Knee Bar, which only comes in one size, and discovered that it is too small. I am 6' and 165lbs. |

I assume one is to wear it just above the knee as opposed to covering the knee. Recommended alternatives?I know rock and resole will put stealth rubber on a neoprene sleeve for ya, but you'll have to ask around for their number to call em. I also think I recall some discussion about an australian company who made knee pads but I don't remember much more about it. If you have any interest in unloading the neon I might be interested in it... |

Interesting. I'm 6'5", 180lbs and do a lot of trail running (pretty large thighs) and use a Five Ten Neon knee bar pad. I have to work a bit to get it on but it works and doesn't cut off my circulation or anything. I feel like it has stretched a decent amount since I first got it. My wife, with much smaller thighs, has worn it a lot more than I have so maybe I can thank her for stretching it out a bit before I started wearing it. |

I'm a big fan of the Downgrader kneepad. I've used it bouldering and sport climbing in the Southeast and it's performed great for the last year. It doesn't slip, doesn't get you too sweaty if it's hot, is sticky in what seems to be all temps, and is durable as all hell. |

Thanks for the feedback. I am going to return the Five Ten Neon Knee Bar and see if the Downgrader Pad fits better. |

I had a chance to use the Send Downgrader Mini yesterday and I was impressed. Easy to put on and highly adjustable. It stayed in place and felt more comfortable than the Five Ten Neon. |
