I made a new route and I did all the stuff to add it to the location I think but I don't see it in the list when I go to the location via la basin pirates cove. Why can't I see it

Courtney's Side? It is there. Thanks for adding it. I noticed all the photos have to be rotated. You can do this using the edit button. Also, you can edit the title and body of the description using their edit buttons if you find any spelling, capitalization or grammar issues, or just want to change the way you wrote it. I go back and edit my contributions frequently.

With bouldering, when did they stop being called problems and are now called routes?

I'll link to the Pirate's Cove page again, as I did in the other thread: mountainproject.com/v/pirat…

Yep, it's there.

And here's the direct link: mountainproject.com/v/court…

And here's what happens if you search: mountainproject.com/scripts…

From the photos and description, I'm not even sure it deserves an "R" rating.

Which brings up a question: Do you danger grade without pads or with. I just put up a problem, about 14ft tall, over a nasty jumble of boulders. Without pads it would be certainly r from the top, potentially x, but with 4 pads it was reasonable, 5 or 6 would be even better. I am inclined to not add a danger rating, or maybe PG and just mention the bad landing, multiple pads needed. That seems consistent with the way routes are done, or most routes would be X rated.

Thanks everyone for the help I changed the rating since I grad with pads since it's kinda irresponsible to climb with out them unless it's physically impossible to add. Oh and my photos are updated. And I still call them problems when bouldering, probably should have called it that in my txt too haha.

You missed rotating one pic and a little text editing if you want to keep your English teachers from coming after you ;)

Hi, Avery. Just to give you some background on that chunk of rock. Me and some other locals did a bunch of variations on it a couple of years ago, as well as the short overhang to the right about 25 feet away. Never sure if they have been done before but likely most of it has since this place has been climbed out years ago. Thanks for sharing it words and pics! Maybe these problems will get some more attention.

11ft high and listed as a PG13. Um nope.

well I never found anything on this site or others so I figured it was not known. I mean im sure people have messed around on these rocks but not the specific one I was doing. And as for the 11ft as a pg13? what would you call it? I mean you fall straight onto a rock if you mess up so idk what else to make it. Even with a crash pad you can bounce into the face of the problem or backwards onto the concrete.

extremely disappointed that this thread is not a long winded story of discovering a gem in the middle of the woods and never being able to find it again.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
