This is the second SACC cleanup event, coming only approximately 6 months after the first. The first was an overwhelming success, with over 100 volunteers participating in the removal of truckloads of trash from Mt. Lemmon. By planning with the local Forest Service, and coordinating the efforts of SACC volunteers with Forest Service personnel on the day of the cleanup, this event should be every bit as successful as the first!
The SACC Adopt a Crag is part of the Stewardship Committee's commitment to working with land managers at local climbing destinations for the improvement of the overall resource.
Volunteers will spend a full day removing trash from alongside the Mt. Lemmon Highway, then collecting the refuse and bringing it to the landfill.
