Hey Bruno,

That totally sucks! I don't know anything about your rope going missing, but I have a static line you can borrow in the mean time if you'd like. Thanks again for all of your replacement efforts down at shelf!

bruno, if you don't get it back let me know - we have a couple that could be put to good use.

Bruno,

WTF! You'd think the folks that visit Shelf would have more of a clue.

I don't have any static line, but I do have plenty of old dynamic cord that would be fine for rappel and needs to be re-purposed. I am flush with new bolting hardware as well.

I still plan to come help you out before it gets too hot there!

I think too many climbers think that bolts just magically appear in the rock for their convenience. I, for one, am very grateful for all the time and money invested in these routes.

I hope that the thieves were not climbers, but unfortunately there are jerks even in this community. Sorry for your frustration, Bruno! Try to channel your inner Honey Badger!

Thread bump to help finding stolen gear.

Thank you for bolting.

However, you should know way better than to abandon your property on public land. Quit being a drama queen and pull your goddamn gear down, if you are too lazy to do that you very well know the risk it won't be there when you return.

The only way this is stolen is if one of your friends is playing a joke on you.

Eeeeeeasy GLD. I was there for the aftermath of this incident. Let's just say if you saw Bruno's reaction to the theft, you'd think twice about bein a doucher. Also, this is somebody donating their time, effort and money into improving an area... Be appreciative.

Bruno:

Sorry to hear this! All of us who have spent days (and days... and days...) fiddling/cursing/fighting to get a few rusty old bolts out of the rock and re-use the holes know how hard you work.

Keep the faith, brutha.

Side note - I should be able to get a few greenlee adapters to you early next week. I'm gonna turn GLD's negativity into some personal inspiration and get my butt out to the shop right now.

Wow, sounds like someone needs to stay after class and write "I will not be an asshole to those who do all the hard work for me" a hundred times on the chalkboard before you go out climbing again.

Did you seriously just refer to the guy drilling bolts into limestone for others to use, lazy??

GLD you are a piece of work....
That should be huge thank you for the rebolting. Bruno was out there replacing extremely mank bolts on a classic line. These bolts were/are so bad they broke as he was trying to loosen the nut.

And he was doing this community service work probably while you were out climbing for yourself...

Bruno, you are the best, bro. Jerk off haters like GLD just make themselves look bad; they can't hold back the good people like you!

Right on! Thanks John, I'll try to make it down. I was down in Penitente 2 weeks ago and was psyched about all of the rebolting efforts down there. Thanks again!
