Shuteye Ridge Roads?

Planning our first visit to Shuteye Ridge next week, and wanted to check on possible road closures. We're planning to spend time at the domes along road 6S66 (Gray/Red Eagle) off of Mammoth Pool road. We're also planning to camp south of Brown's Meadow off of road 7S02 to climb at the Milky Way Wall.

Could anyone tell me if these roads are subject to seasonal closures that might keep us from getting in? Would also be nice to confirm that the roads are clear, too. Both of our vehicles have high clearance/4wd.

If someone has the number for the appropriate ranger station for the area south of Shuteye Pass, that would be a big help. It's not in the guidebook.

Thanks!

I talked to a guy at the bass lake USFS station who said that all of the dirt roads that lead into the domes are gated and closed until May 1, when 90% of them will be opened. Bummer.

Anyone on the ground have different info? I got the impression that the person I spoke to was probably reading off of a report.
