Description Suggest change

An old quarry wall that faces south, this climb is a good choice for a sunny cold day in mid-season; especially after freezing your tail off on Multiplication Gulley.

The climb is very straightforward, it goes right up the wall. In good years, several lines may be climbable.

Location Suggest change

From Wilmington head up Whiteface Memorial Drive until the road forks. The left fork goes to the Whiteface Memorial Drive tollbooth and the right fork puts you on Gillispie Drive. Go about 1/4 mile (and past Lake Stevens on the left). As the road bends to the left you'll see a pull-out on the right that can hold about 4 cars or so. There's a trail at the pull out that will take you to Chiller Pillar in a 5 min walk or less. The guidebook describes the trail as a logging road, but it's no road, just a path. The trailhead is at 44° 24.239', -73° 52.737'

Protection Suggest change

Can be climbed on toprope by ascending around the right side of the wall to the trees at the top of the route.
