Best crag in the USA/world to telework?

I'm in a similar situation, I can work wherever I want as long as there's wifi and no wars in progress.

I've worked from RRG many times, staying Miguels or Loma Lindas, although I prefer Loma Lindas, it's more peaceful than Miguels which tends to get a bit rowdy on the weekends in the late summer/early fall.

I've worked from Utah and Colorado for months at a time, but I've had the benefit of crashing with friends and family who had an extra room.

Anyway- some beta: There's not a whole lot of places that's like RRG, but some come to mind:

I've never done this, but I've heard you can find places to stay in Fayetteville, WV- which would give you easy access to the New. There's also a campground called Roger's Roost that supposedly has wifi/power along with showers, etc., but I'm not 100% on this.

I've worked from Thailand for a few months, staying on Tonsai- A lot of the resorts (Mountain View is where I stayed) actually have pretty good wifi- the only caveat is that they shut down the power during the day (6am-6pm), so you can only work at night (which wasn't an issue for me, since I still had to work during normal 8-4am MST hours which is during the night in Thailand). Thailand worked out perfect for me- work 8pm-4am, sleep 5hrs and then climb all day. If you find you need to work during the day, there's a few places on the Railay side that have power/wifi on all day (a bit more expensive over there) or just take a boat to Ao Nang and work from the Starbucks. If you don't need speedy wifi, you can get a wireless dongle (looks like a thumb dirve) to access the EDGE network (like 2G) for a pretty cheap price. (I was last there in '12, so Tonsai/Railay might have 3G by now).

I'll be going back this year, staying at Chiang Mai for 3 months :-)

Cheers.

Would suggest Flagstaff or Sedona (Arizona). Sedona is 90 min to teh airport. I do PHX in 2 hrs even from Flag. Tons of climbing, and the best trad crag I've seen foot for foot of climbing is the Waterfall (but you have to be climbing 5.11 to 5.13 trad there are a few 5.10's but only a few). Along with that is Sedona (fall/winter/spring) paradise forks and a ton of other crags. getting wifi is no problem

+100!

If my job were internet portable....I'd be in Kalymons in Spring and Late Fall...maxing out the Schengen Visa both times.

Bishop

Bishop doesn't meet Wifi Camping
Isn't it longer than 90 minutes to the airport?
You can rent rooms for cheap (350-450)

Tahoe

Close airport
Wifi in town
Camping galore

Gunks

Wifi in Town
Easy camping
Airport close

Bishop is far more year around giving you Bouldering, Alpine, Sport, Etc in different environments,

^ I get great data reception out at the pit outside of Bishop. If you were crafty with setting up a DIY antennae you could easily be picking up 4g with verizon or 4GLTE with AT/T.

You can get 4G in the pit, he said he wanted Wifi within camping. There are no showers at the pit as well.

But essentially he is asking for to much. You want to dirtbag, you better plan on sitting in Starbucks for Free wifi or you will pay $25 a night (AKA should just rent a room at that point)

Really, Haven't heard this. See CO folk at our local crags weekly. Maple, LCC, and American Fork.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
