Climber airlifted after falling 80 to 120 feet in Boulder County's Eldorado Canyon
A college-aged man was airlifted out of Eldorado Canyon State Park on Wednesday night after falling between 80 and 120 feet from a rock formation he was climbing, Boulder County officials say. There's a little more info on the Daily Camera page linked above but not much. I hope he pulls through and heals quickly. |

Jeez, I live in Eldo and was climbing Werk Supp yesterday around 6. There was a group of about 4 or 5 college age guys and girls who seemed like they were inexperienced playing around near the The Bomb. Cheering for each other when they reached the top, yelling "Sit back" when someone made it to the chains. We left around 6:30 and about an hour later more rescue vehicles than I can count came flying through the canyon, full lights and sirens. Hope everyone comes through this okay. |

He fell from the 80 ft chains. Miss communication at belay. Me and my partner were first on scene. Not fun |

Hoping to hear an update that he's going to make a full recovery. Tough stuff. |
|
I was Wade's partner and assisted with the rescue yesterday. In regards to an update, the only information that I am able to get at this point is that the patient was airlifted to a level 1 trauma center. He was conscious @ the hospital and able to speak. |

Best wishes to the fallen climber, this is horrible to hear. |
|
Sounds hopeful? Best wishes for a full recovery. |

He's doing very well considering what happen. Talked with the family today |
|
Man I hope he makes a full and quick recovery. |
|
It's not going to be quick, but it's looking like he will be making a full recovery. Broken bones heal, head and spine checked out OK!!! Incredibly good news! |

Wow that is amazing news. I'm not a Boulderite but I have climbed on the Wind Tower and this accident has been in my mind a lot. Thanks so much for the updates. |
