I am planning on heading up to check out the Obed for the first time later this week. The weather looks pretty iffy with good chances of rain on several days. Although, I have heard that there is more than enough up there that stays dry to keep me entertained.

Could anyone expand on how much there is to climb if it is raining and maybe throw some beta on which areas would be the best to go to for a first timer/ on a rainy day.

Thanks

Hey, I'll be up there this week, staying at Del's. Will be happy to point you in the right direction. The best stuff that stays dry is of course the steepest stuff. Some moderates can be found under roofs as well. When its cold tieranny is the best, we're planning some time there. It also stays dry. Lilly bluff might have a few dry lines, but it tends to seep. You can check out my book while you're there for more info. We're planning to be there all week, grey mazda 3 hatch back with Georgia tags.

Thank man, I will be sure to look for you when we get up there.

Is there somewhere up there to buy the guidebook?

yeah, Del built a little general store and stocks it in there. Think it runs about $30.
