Climb Red Rock tomorrow after yesterday's rainstorm?

Hi folks,

I'm with a group of eager out-of-towners with little experience on sandstone. Are you locals going to be climbing at Red Rock tomorrow, or should we wait another day after Friday's rain?

Thanks in advance!

That was a long soaking rain so another day would be recommended. If the ground on the approach is damp, it is too early to climb.

2-3 days is the normal wait

Check out Urban Crag and Gun Club. Totally good after rain.

Gun Club is sharp but a good amount of moderates if that is what you are looking for.

Way to be classy and ask. That's cool.

Yes, we appreciate you asking and waiting...Unlike the yahoos I saw on Cannibal first thing Saturday morning.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
