It's low angle and really easy ? That's what I'm looking for after 2 new hips and other med issues.

The "jump" won't kill the knees , will it ?

Thanks

Ask anybody in Boulder about the second flatiron

The "jump" is easy for 20 somethings and anyone with feline grace. Us old clumsy folk tend to land like a sack of potatoes. I usually avoid it.

If you are tall (>6'), you can ease off backwards and make a long step down, avoiding the jump. You can also pass it to the left if you get off the ridge soon enough, but the right spot would not be obvious if you have not climbed it before.

Fifty feet before the jump point, you can down climb to the left. The downclimb (twelve feet?) is very easy, but the foot holds may not be visible until you ease off. There are good, large handholds to lower off.

dodge block is another good route on the second and very easy as long as you stay on route. of course to actually summit requires some 5.4ish climbing up the back side.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
