What if my pinterest is just full of climbing and training boards?

Regarding the matching gear, it's not my fault all the Women's gear tends to come in purple.

Whats wrong with crushing 5.10 gear while looking sassy in hot pink lulus and a prana tank?!

I shouldn't get points off for looking good while meeting all of your criteria.

Also, a TRUE testament to whether or not she is a true mountain woman is if she can go a week or more without showering, not whether or not she buys matching clothes.

A true testament to whether or not she (or he) is a true mountain woman (or man) is if they LIVE IN THE MOUNTAINS.

I smelled my female partner's arm pits Monday night. She passed the not showering test.

interesting thread! and I love the criteria :) however, as a female climber who meets most of these criteria (I'm guilty of enjoying pretty climbing clothes but limited by budget, and my ability to lead 5.10 trad depends a bit on the area, Indian creek 10 is hard!!!), I've often felt that these qualities end up leading to great friendships but not to romantic relationships. Maybe I'm climbing with the wrong guys, but in my experience being competent, self-reliant, and not conventionally "hot" seems to get a lot of respect but not much interest. Which is mostly fine; I would choose being respected and having good friends over a mediocre relationship any day, but is kind of a bummer too!

Anyway, best of luck to you, good to know there is interest out there :)

I've found similar things in the climbing community. I found a kayaker boyfriend who was just starting to get into climbing. To me, its more important to have someone who enjoys being outside rather than a good climber.

totally agree....once outdoors and active, adding a new sport is easy to do. Pulling the goon off the bar stool to get started is kinda hopeless.

Thanks Ying! I'd rather climb with girls... less whining about their pump

Except for knowing two languages and being attractive, you actually described my wife quite perfectly.

Plus girls don't smell nearly as bad after a week of not showering :)
