Sounds about right, I'm a sz 10/10.5 street shoe and a 9.5 is good, 9 is wearable but too tight (in my opinion). typically I like my shoes pretty tight, so keep that in mind.

Anyone know anything about the stretch factor for the Rogue VCS???

These things are killing me and I need to know if I need to power through it until break-in or exchange for .5 size higher...

The new blue and grey ones? If they are leather uppers, they'll probably break in a bit, if they are synthetic probably only a half size if you're lucky.

WOW! Thanks for hooking us up with the SWEET deals! I was going to resole, but got brand new Anasazi's for less than what I would have spent!

I generally wear a 41.5 in Sportiva and an 8.5 in 5.10. This leads to a tight initially fit that breaks in well-- the leather shoes become comfortable, the nonleather stay tight but not too bad.

2 cents.

41.5 is "performance fit" and I'm looking for these to be more comfort fit. I guess worst case, they have 9s I can get.

Thanks guys.

Wow, awesome deal!!

And yes, the Rouge will stretch a little. I have a beater pair for the gym and after 6 months they have gotten a little sloppy. I should have downsized another half size.

As counterpoint,

I am also a 10/10.5 street.

9.5 was great at the start, but 50 days + gym time this season --> a fair amount of stretching. Now they're an all day comfort shoe unless i wear hiking socks with them. I ordered a pair of 9's instead of getting a resole.

It's been ages since I've climbed in 5.10 shoes... anyone care to comment on the following in their exp:

For a slab/mutipitch I got the Galileo in a 10.5 and that's also the size of my Camp 4's... Read various things but it's been 10 yrs since I wore a pair of anazasis so idk about the fit these days.

what shoes do you wear normally?

lol ... the sale is soo good that weve been reduced to intraweb fitting

the coupon supposedly expires on the 16th or so ... so you might have 1 or 2 days to try shoes out .... dont quote me on that though

as a side note when i go to MEC i try on EVERY shoe they have and write down my size ... that way when sales like these pop up ... im all set to go

;)

Fwiw my experience with galileos is they are edging powerhouses. The smallest micro edge is put into play. Literally just trust it and you will swear your levitating. But the smears feel insecure the extra stiffness takes away from the sensitivity. Great edging shoe. My 2 cents
